I just returned from my quick trip to Boston this past weekend for the BlogHer conference and I’m exhausted from the three solid days of wine, women and blog. And while there’s not too much else to tell, I do want to say how completely and thoroughly I loved being in the city. From the cool, crisp air to the cool, crisp people, it was a world of difference from Austin, Texas.
I didn’t even see a taco.
But to really explain how refreshing I found the Bostonians to be, I have to mention the way I was asked by a woman in each airport to move my bag so they could have the seat next to me:
Austin – “Um, I’m so sorry to bother y’all, but do you think you could maybe just move that cute, little computer bag of yours that’s just sittin’ right there so I could just plop myself down in that seat? I’m SO SORRY to ask y’all, but I’m just right tired from walkin’ all…day…long. So, do you think you would mind, hon? Thank you SOOO much! My goodness, you are SOOO sweet and I do SOO appreciate it. Thank yew, sweetie!”
Boston – “So. You gonna move that bag for me there or what?”
So thanks to everyone I met in Boston for a great weekend. It was absolutely, totally wicked awesome. Y’all.
