Awww…. See? You won’t be wiping much longer! (I was thinking of you today, because – even though I no longer have to wipe any kids’ anything, I found myself wiping my DOG’S nose. Which is better than other things I could be wiping on him, but still quite unpleasant. So don’t be dumb like me and get a dog after you’re done wiping children.)

One of these days my girls are going to be stunned to realize that the narrator on some of their Thomas the Tank Engine videos was once a drummer in a pretty good band.

(For the non-Thomas obsessed, that’d be Ringo Starr…)

My older daughter told me that she thought it was amazing that they found an actress who LOOKS JUST LIKE Hermione to play her in the Harry Potter movies. She was stunned at the coincidence.

I always play that game with my kids. Probably because my Mom played it with me…The game, that is, is to say, “Hey, what other movie was that guy/girl in?” or “Whose cartoon voice is that?”

I think it helps them to realize that tv/movies aren’t “real life”….

ANYWAY, that was very observant of him. It’s always fun when they mention it first

My son is still convinced that the Indiana Jones series are just an extension of the Star Wars Saga. “Hans Solo is just pretending to be Indiana Jones to hide from Darth Vader and he’s on a different planet. Not Tatoine. It’s Star Wars 7 to 9,” were his exact words I believe.
